In 1995 Neil took over as conductor of the Brighton Chamber Choir, and, between 1995 and 2001, conducted them on some 60 occasions at the Brighton Festival, and at their regular appearances at churches, halls and country houses throughout Sussex. Under his direction, the choir appeared ‘live’ on Classic FM, made 2 commercial recordings, and gave the first performances of his new editions of the Schütz “Christmas Story” and Resurrection Story” (published by Novello and King’s Music respectively).
